I immediately got that one without thinking, had no idea about shinto though. And I am pretty sure I came across that question earlier today haha didnt stick aparently...
"Oliver or Annie" is way to vague. I kept thinking about 6-letters synonym to "name", than to "hurricane" and several other words. No, knowing the answer, I believe "Oliver" refers to Oliver Twist, but that could be given in full, not only his first name. And still I have no idea about Annie
I also read it as professor the first time, and for some reason that seemed like a plausible question, so i didn't re-read it, and then i never figured out the answer.
You've waited four years, but no longer! There are two named exoplanets that start with U:
Ugarit (six letters, too!): It orbits Ebla (aka HD 218566), a K-type star 94 light-years away. It was discovered by measuring perturbations in the star's movement. It probably weighs a bit less than Saturn.
Umbäässa: It orbits Pipoltr (aka TrES-3, aka GSC 03089-00929), a G-type star 757 light-years away. It was discovered by the TrES survey. It probably weighs twice as much as Jupiter.
If you accept designations instead of proper names, there are UKIRT-2017-BLG-001Lb; Upsilon Andromedae b, c, and d; Upsilon Leonis b; USco1556 b; USco1621 b; UScoCTIO 108 b; and UZ Fornacis c.
and as it has to connect with Q1 "Opaque," because in a chain quiz the last connects to the first, your options are limited... have you never done a chain before? they are brilliant!...BUT, QM for the benefit is the newbies, maybe add something in the instructions to effect that the first and last connect also..
I also wish the question had been phrased "a color of the rainbow" or "one of the colors of the rainbow". It's very obvious in retrospect, but I was trying to think of some kind of term that represented the whole rainbow. I first tried ROYGBIV, but that obviously didn't fit. Maybe there was some kid of scientific name for the refracted light that makes the rainbow? Anyway, I was way off. I also didn't get the previous answer, so maybe if I'd had the "i", it would have smacked me in the head.
I don't think Maglev is the best answer to the prompt. "Magnetism" or "Magnetics" are better answers to the hint. I suggest a different word for starting with M and ending with V. Molotov comes to mind. All I was able to go off of was the M.
Hilarious. I read "Attack helicopter of Native American Tribe" instead of "or". This caused an anachronistic meltdown of my neural wiring and I opted to move on rather than re-read.
I really don't like being one of those people but Indigo is not technically a color of the rainbow anymore. It was omitted from the visible spectrum in 2016 because it was hard to differentiate from blue and violet. I don't really care either way but just thought I'd share the one thing I learned in science class lol :))

How quickly will I be cut back a level??
