Helena was Constantine’s mother—not his wife.

There's also a type of crossing called a pelican crossing

And puffin, toucan and pegasus crossings. There were briefly experimental panda crossings in the 60s, and, more recently, a solitary tiger crossing that saw a short-lived trial.

Though the answer in the quiz is the obvious one. The other possible answers are either birds, mythical, or crossings that don't exist anymore.

Birds are still animals though, and pelican was the first thing I thought of.

Are you saying birds aren't animals?

They should totally just accept animal crossing.

I'm surprised so many people got ankh, thought I was onto an obscure answer there!

Huh, funny to read this because I was thinking (and contemplated writing a comment about it but decided not to until I saw yours) I am surprised at how few people got ankh. It was only 39! I expected it to be somewhere above 80, like 88

There are more pedestrian crossings in the UK than just zebras: toucan, pelican, puffin, and pegasus as well.

What’s the difference between them? Do they all look different? Or just different regions call them different things?

Zebra: uncontrolled - pedestrians have right of way to cross

Pelican: traffic light controlled - pedestrians have to request to cross

Puffin: traffic light & sensor controlled

Toucan is a crossing for cyclists.

I've never heard of pegasus. Maybe that's when pedestrians fly across on a winged horse?

Pegasus is one like Toucan (two can cross) but for horses as well as pedestrians, with a button higher up where a rider can reach.

I guess they were trying to fit the birds/beginning with P theme and also reference horses.

You might want to accept "Scandinavian Cross" as well as what you have, "Nordic Cross." Just saying.

Took me a while to figure out the spelling for Ankh, tried many combinations of letters before getting it!
