Can somene explain how Freedom Tower and the Shard are similar!? Beyond both being ehhh towers. Canary Wharf (or whatever it's called now) is also a tower. As is the Gherkin, and the BT tower. Yet the answer is the Shard?
Helvetia is the female personification of Switzerland. (sort of like Marianne is for France) You see it on all of their coins. So Switzerland is the Confederatio Helvetica.
The official name of Switzerland is Swiss Confederation, but in four different languages. For neutrality Latin is often used instead, most notably for 2-letter country code (.ch, CHF is Swiss franc etc) and car registration. Also on coins, while on the banknotes there's enough space for all 4 languages.
I mixed up Aoraki and Aotearoa and though Aoraki was what the indigenous people called New Zealand. Was trying to think of what the Native Americans called the US. 18/22
The quiz accepts both. I took it a 2nd time after guessing Denali and typed in McKinley and both times was correct. Wonder if Gulf of Mexico/America is a thing as well now.
I got the Shard from watching too much British crime on Tubi.
Especially the first cast of New Tricks, and Dalziel and Pascoe. (generally pre-Shard)
Also good for picking up Cockney, and drinking in pubs vicariously...🥨 🍻 🇬🇧 ☺️
Also no one calls it the new name
