I got stuck on the garbage/elevator one, wasting my remaining time trying words like people, person, men, women, children, etc (rubbish goes in the garbage; people go in the elevator). Haha.
Always consider the length of the line in the clue. It tells you wether the word is short or not, which can narrow down the options... (Though "Men" could have worked as a short word. ;) )
What does money have to do with anything? Or do you mean you have no time? Surely you don't work from 6am till midnight? You even have time to hang around on jetpunk so you have time to read. And from what i remember they are a very fast read. I think i read the 1st or 2nd in a day, but seem most as movies.
either way the questions are so basic most is common knowledge (like about some other other books) you basicly only have to watch 5 minutes of one of the movies to know the answers jetpunk quizzes ask (besides specific potter quizzes obviously)
I'm not sure why some people assume that our lack of knowledge regarding Harry Potter is due to being too lazy to read the books. I have read and seen enough to know that it isn't for me, the same as Marvel or Lord of the Rings (and yes, I read The Hobbit as a ten year old and didn't like it then either). Not everybody likes the same genre of literature or film and I won't be reading Harry Potter just to improve my score on JetPunk
I read the first book under pressure from a friend. I hated the clumsy roots used in the names and objects, as well as the writing... felt like a script.
The movies under Chris Columbus were great to watch, and the actors were unforgettable.
I also detest Agatha Christie's writing (repetitive structure, dull to me) though I plotz for David Suchet as Poirot.
Looking at past %es I can't believe how many I missed last time I took this. Breezed to 100% this time. Must be one of those mornings when my brain is working.
I had no idea what Oktoberfest was, but I figured it looked German, so I guessed Munich, and I got it! Was going to guess Berlin or Köln if I didn't get it
a backronym is something completely different - it is when an acronym is formed from an already existing word rather than a new word being created by forming an initialism
I didn't get the stressed-desserts one at all. Had to read the comments. Very clever. Thanks for pushing the envelope on analogies. First one in the series I have missed.
For "Severus is to Snape", arguably could also be "Albus is to Potter". Harry named his son "Albus", so if the only requirement is first and last names, "Potter" should also be accepted.
It works with the PM instead of the Queen, the Queen is the head of state, but the PM is the one who is the head of the government and runs the country day to day just like the POTUS.
I was very confused by the Oktoberfest one, because we have Oktoberfest in Salt Lake City too. I was aware it was a german thing but I couldn't remember specifically which city.

Bury me with a Bill Bryson in the Woods.
Great quiz :)
The President of the US is the head of state, so surely would correspond to HM The Queen, rather than just the prime minister?

Stressed is to Desserts took me forever. :)
