Two comments. First off, this is the first quiz I've ever visited on this site whose accompanying avatar was not in any way related to the quiz contents. Secondly, anyone who would have needed the help of an avatar to help fill in clues that any kindergartener would consider "too easy" may be in need of serious help. This is far and away the easiest quiz I have ever seen on this site (and I've seen pretty much all of them).

For someone with English as a second language this is way more difficult. Before you start laughing and wondering about some low percentages, you might want to consider not everybody is speaking English since kindergarten.

My father had a record produced by Cornell in the 50s that collected frog calls from around the world. I believe it had a few ribbits from places outside of Hollywood -- but point taken.

I always heard that small frogs (in a fast, high voice) say, "Knee-deep, knee-deep, knee-deep." Middle-sized frogs say in a normal voice, "Belly-deep, belly-deep, belly-deep." In a slow, descending, deep voice, bullfrogs say, "Drown, drown, drown."

One of my girlfriends here was named Hadeel. I guess it means the same as "coo," she told me it meant "pigeon's voice." I told her it would be better to tell people it meant "dove song" or "bird song" since that sounds more appealing than "pigeon voice."

Nice little Quiz ... BUT the only one I would change is "Tweet" .. leading to the answer "BIRD" .. which is FAR too general in my opinion ... so would it be possible to amend the quiz and evolve that one question to a more specific creature like "Roar" for a Lion or anything else equally specific?? ... I notice you did not have the answer "AMPHIBIAN" when the question was "Ribbit" ....

Yes, this is actually pretty challenging for anyone who learned English in adolescence or adulthood, because we skipped all the kindergarden stuff that native English-speakers would consider basic. I managed to get them all, but a lot of those were random guesses of barn animals and various birds. I find it highly amusing that English people actually have a specific name for the sound of a goose or a turkey. I sure as hell never learned of any for them in French.

And for those who want to hear what real frogs and toads sound like, you can listen to the 1958 recordings that the Smithsonian put out on a CD forty years later by going to http://www.folkways.si.edu/sounds-of-north-american-frogs/science-nature/album/smithsonian. Great samples, along with the monotone narration by a professor of herpetology that adds a nostalgic flavor to the whole affair.

Animals do not speak the same language the world over. For example, in Sierra Leone, roosters crow "kokorioko," and in Thailand the sound is a distinct, "ayeyeyee," as best I can spell it. You had to be there.

could people stop complaining about this quiz? First of all, it is in the kid's tag. Second of all, who cares if a quiz is easy? Why does it matter to you? If you are complaining that it is an easy 5 points, you must have taken the quiz to have made that comment. So it's only an undeserved 5 points if it's not YOUR 5 points? And third, different languages have different animal sounds. This quiz could reasonably be difficult for an adult whose 1st language is not English. Try taking an animal sounds quiz made by an Indonesian, Finnish, or Eritrean person.
