Beijing, Shanghai, Urumqi, Tianjin, Hong Kong, Macau, technically Taipei as well. Should I keep going on? Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an, Nanjing, Qingdao, Lhasa, Kashgar. That's as much as I can thing of off the top of my head that don't end in "-zhou, -zhen or -qing."
Both the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China will be upset to learn that Taiwan was removed from their territory to make Hainan the largest island.
War is always a good teacher of geography. I fear without the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan, I never would have learnt the name of that country's third largest city.
What other major city in India starts with a 'H' and share a name with a city in Pakistan? Hyderabad is the fourth largest city in India with nearly 7 million in the city-proper. Howrah is the 39th largest city in India with a population just over a million. Hyderabad, Pakistan is the 8th largest city with about 1.7 million people. The next largest city that starts with 'H' in Pakistan is Hafizabad with a population of 246,000. There is no other combination of cities starting with 'H' in Pakistan and India that both could be considered major.
Firstly, both PRC and ROC government admits that Taiwan rather than Hainan is the biggest island of China;secondly, there's no doubt that Shenyang,Dalian and Changchun are the top 3 biggest cities of Manchuria,Harbin is only the 4th biggest Manchurian city.
But regardless of claims, the PRC controls Hainan.
It should have said: Name of a major cities in India and Pakistan which share the same name.
There are other examples.
Second half: "erm..."
Got 13/20 I guess still a bit better than expected, I am bad at asian geography. Luckily it wasn't all chinese cities. I would have been toast.
