It is a bear faced lie that you decided not to make that pun, because the bear naked truth is that you did make it, and we can all bear witness to that
Had a gross time thinking about all the possible body fluids of bears. Thanks for that. (Had a better time thinking about all the possible ways for bear poachers to die.)
It's actually far worse than that. They don't just kill the bears and get the bile. They keep the bears alive in tiny cages and attached to equipment that continually harvests the bile. Apparently the process is brutal and the bears live in absolute torture day in and day out. There have been stories of bears committing suicide to escape the pain
I'd never heard of a sloth bear and had to look them up! They really are sort of built like a sloth and definitely give off a lazy-looking vibe, but the extra fur around their face is really pretty.
It is a common misconception that bears hibernate. They do not. They do go into a state commonly called torpor; their body temperature drops, but less than true hibernators, and they can wake up pretty quickly when needed. Most true hibernators are reptiles and insects, although I believe that the groundhog might be one of the few mammals considered a true hibernator.
Should say what animal is not *closely* related to the Giant Panda. They are, of course, related. They are in different families, but the same order and even sub-order.
The red panda's place on the evolutionary tree has been debated, but modern genetic evidence places it in close affinity with raccoons, weasels, and skunks.
"What is the word for a place a bear lives?" This is such a vague question. I tried habitat, territory, range, etc. Maybe change the wording to reflect you are looking for the specific structure/enclosure that they live in instead. If the question had been "Where do bears hibernate" I would've gotten den for example. Just my 2 cents.
It's absolutely NOT true that salmon is the grizzly bear's "preferred" food during summer in coastal regions: when faced with elderberries and salmon coming into season at the same time, brown bears choose berries, ie, they PREFER them.
This shouldn't be surprising; most bear species lean towards herbivory, and brown bears, despite being among the more carnivorous species, are still around 60% herbivorous or more.
I tried so many bodily fluids for the "toxic to humans" clue that I was pretty daunted when I saw the "Chinese medicine" one... Even tried "tears" before I finally got the answer.
The fact that Paddington Bear is not the answer to "the only species of bear found in South America" is a crime against nature. Or literature. Or...ok, me.
So he may not be the only species, but certainly the best dressed.

1. (biology) A state of inactivity and metabolic depression in animals during winter.
It is called winter resting then and it is not hibernation.
A squid'll eat navy blue wooden shoes...
i keep on forgetting that Alaska is part of the US :((
