Different Isaiah Thomas. The 1st one played only on the Pistons in the late 70's to 80's. The new Isaiah (no relation) played for Boston and was traded for Kyrie Irving.

Funny what a difference two years makes. Isaiah Thomas went from 28.9 ppg to just 8.1. It's tough for guys his size to stay in the league when they lose their athleticism. He could be out of the NBA after this season unless he has a great year.
Reminds me of Iverson. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. Once Iverson lost his insane speed, he didn't have anything to fall back on. He was just a 5'11 shooting guard with a terrible jumpshot and not much of a passing game.
Billups is good, but K.C Jones would be a better choice. He won 8 championships. Not a lot of players can say that, in fact no one on this list can say that.
Why? Its not like the Clippers ever won anything. Chris Paul might be the more well-rounded player, but it doesn't matter. If Curry can make 5 three-pointers per game on 45% shooting, that's ultimately more valuable.
Let's also not forget the fact that CP3 offers more offensively as well as defensively. 7-time first team defense as well as being named on the 2nd team twice. People only rate players based on championships these days which is a shame. I guess Robert Horry 7-time champ is a legend, huh?
lordaris69 Your thinking is a bit dated. The current point guard is more of a shooter for most teams and less a passer...the Iverson type of PG. The more successful teams are relying on getting and making 3 pointers more. Kidd, Stockton, Cousy, etc. would be less valuable the way the league plays now.
???? Stockton was a career 39% three point shooter at a time when there were few high volume shooters hitting more than 35%. Stockton would be more valuable today than he was in his time. Kidd by the time he was in his 30s was a decent 3 point shooter and finished his career at 35%.They grew up in a time when the shot didn't exist or was largely ignored. To act like they couldn't have been a good shooters when they were at a minimum decent shooters by today's standards is disingenuous. As a fan of the Thunder, I can tell you I would have loved to have had a Russell Westbrook that shot 35% from deep. As for Cousy we have no idea what he would have done with a 3 point line. Maybe he would have been even better with the better spacing on the floor. Maybe he was a great shooter from 25 feet but without the incentive of an extra point there was no use for the shot. We have no idea what he would have shot. It's like asking what Babe Ruth would have done with a modern day training regiment.
Curry has 2 rings and 2 mvp awards. More rings and mvps than Paul and Nash combined. As a pure point guard, obviously Paul and Nash are better passers. But taking stats into consideration, Curry should definitely be higher.
Iverson played like a shooting guard but he had the ball in his hand most of the time and played point guard. He played more like today's point guards that shoot much more.
it bugs me that Curry and Westbrook are considered point guards. they're not. they're shooting guards who happen to be great passers. same goes for Rose, Isaiah, Harden, Lowry, etc. the only true point guards left in the league are Rondo, Rubio, and CP3. maybe Wall.
The point guard is usually the player who brings the ball up court. Curry and especially Westbrook definitely do that. The game has changed and the PGs are shooting more and passing less. There are very few pass first PGs anymore...Rondo comes to mind.
What? How is Chris Paul ahead of people like Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Bob Cousy, Allan Iverson, Tony Parker and Nate Archibald? Even Billups should be higher than Paul, he never won anything.
yeah when they make this list in 10 years it will not contain Isiah Thomas multiple times, since that post he has been traded twice and injured multiple times needing surgery. worst prediction ever

Needs update regarding teams of active players... The problem is the data for Westbrook could be outdated very soon. Or we can just wait for all of them to retire.
Didin't see that one coming. Good player though.
come on
explain that
2. Putting him above Magic is insulting
