A wonderful bird is the pelican,

His bill will hold more than his belican,

He can take in his beak

Enough food for a week

But I'm damned if I see how the helican!

couldn't resist.

Yeah I don't really get it either... I guess reading it aloud is supposed to approximate a conversation about whether or not there are ducks, or something? According to this post on reddit it is some of sort of joke, but the humor escapes me.

Herons are tiny compared to ostriches. They're tiny even compared to swans.

I was listening to an I Hate Everything video while doing this quiz. I couldn't think of the #2 largest bird and it was killing me. Then in the I Hate Everything video he started talking about how he wouldn't kill a cassowary because he likes birds to much. That was the strangest coincidence that has ever happened to me.

The bustard's an exquisite fowl,

With minimal reason to growl,

It escaped what would be,

Illegitimacy,

By grace of a fortunate vowel

Maybe accept nandu as a type-in for rhea? I know I should probably learn rhea too as a name for the bird, but at least wikipedia sees nandu as a valid alternative in english as well..
