Not sure where "Leads" is but Leeds is bigger than Liverpool.

I don't think so. I guess it depends where you draw the boundaries.

According to the UK official census figures for 2011, Leeds had a population of 751,500 and Liverpool had 466,400 so quite a big difference.

I think the metropolitan area of Leeds is a bit of a catch-all thing that includes places like Bradford and Wakefield, which bumps up the population quite significantly.

I thought of Las Vegas at the last second, but couldn't type it fast enough, Meanwhile, I got Luanda. I'm typically not good with African cities. I, too, am American. Don't know why I had such a hard time thinking of Las Vegas.

The American cities are harder to get because there are so many of them. You probably can't name the 2nd biggest city in Zambia, though.

There cannot possibly be 2.10 million people in Leeds. There's only about 2.2 million in all of West Yorkshire.

They're counting the population of the metropolitan area, which includes places like Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, etc. Don't really think this should count as Leeds itself only has a population of around half a million, well below Liverpool's 1.1 million.

They would have to include all of West Yorkshire in order to get that number, which seems very inaccurate to me. I agree it doesn't seem to add up.
