I knew Malta was small... but not even in the top 20 biggest islands in its own sea (or top 30, apparently)... that's embarrassing. Also, Mallorca. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/mallorca
Note; even if the quiz did go that far, Malta wouldn't be on it. it would be its largest constituent island, Victoria, followed by the other one whose name I've forgotten.
Wikipedia gives exactly the same size for Krk and Cres (405.78km²). Is there a reason not to include it? Just thought it was an interesting coincidence.
"Bicos ded" is how it is pronounced, doesnt necessarily means that is how it is written. (It might though, but as it is, that argument is flawed, pronunciation does not dictate spelling)
Fun fact: In Croatia there are actually two biggest islands. There is Krk with area surface of 405,78 km2 and Cres with exact same area surface of 405,78 km2
I got all the often guessed ones besides rhodes :/ And I expected kos/cos to be on there. I havent heard of most if not all of the lower ones, I know crete, corfu, lesbos, cos, (and rhodes). Apparently it is just below 300 km² much smaller than euboea and chios, but I never heard of those...
The largest island (Malta) is 246km2, the second largest (Gozo) is 67km2 and the smallest island (Comino) is 3.5km2.
The total area of the country of Malta is 316km2.
If anything is wrong, blame wikipedia. XD
makes me think of lembas btw (had to look the actual word up, I knew it was similar but no real clue) the elf bread from lord of the rings.
BTW, Eivissa (local name) should be accepted for Ibiza.
