Wait, what? You actually looked it up before posting a scathing complaint? What are you trying to do, ruin the whole JetPunk culture? I insist that next time, you post your immediate, unresearched, knee jerk reaction, without diluting your righteous indignation with anything as pedestrian as facts or reason. I mean, *sheesh*!
The Black Bears are the University of Maine’s hockey team; they were (and probably still are) big conference rivals with my alma mater (BU). But most importantly, the Black Bears produced NHL Hall of Famer Paul Kariya.
They also produced perennial all-star goalie Ben Bishop. Maine is still in-conference with BU, but the rivalry has fallen off because Maine is no longer very competitive with BU. Maine was awesome in the 1990's through the mid-2000's decade, but they've taken a step back since then, especially in the last decade. Northeastern and UMass-Lowell have ascended near the top of the conference in Maine's place. BC is still the preeminent force in the conference, followed by BU. UNH is usually pretty good too.
How about the Lewiston Maineiacs? I was quite sad when the team from my hometown (Sherbrooke, Québec) moved to Maine, but they have since returned and are now aptly called the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
The Rugby World Cup is held every 4 years; here's 4 minutes of highlights from the 2015 final. For those more used to American Football, 2 main differences: all your passes must be to a man behind you, and to score a try (ie, a touchdown), you actually have to touch the ball onto the ground!
Far and away the biggest rugby team on the planet. A niche sport for some, depending on where you live, but a perfectly acceptable question. A bit of research on how they gained the "All Blacks" moniker might enlighten you a bit.
Notes: Black widows venom is not lethal to a human. If left untreated (no antivenom) for around 3 weeks, amputation may be called for because the venom will kill off a small region of cells and tissue. Unless it bites around the spine, neck or head, it is not fatal. Even in these dire circumstances, antivenom within a day should minimalise further injury.
Also: Extortion is not the same as blackmail. Blackmail is threatening direct or indirect harm for a gain, however, blackmail is usually the release of incriminating or embarrassing information, where extortion involves threats to damaging of assets, friends, family or your person.
For this reason, I had difficulty getting these answers with these incorrect clues.
The clue doesn’t say “deadly to healthy, adult humans”. Black widow bites could very well be deadly to an infant, a pet, someone immunocompromised… or the widow’s unsuspecting mate.
I personally think that there are two contradicting ideas of how to make good food. One way is to dump seasonings (not only spices, I mean, sauces, salt, sugar, etc) to create blended flavours. Another way is to season as least as possible and let the natural tastes of ingredients mix together. Those who familiar with seasonings will say food from the latter is bland, and those who familiar with natural tastes will say food from the former is overseasoned or burning (in case of spices). I embrace both ways, personally.
To each his own. It's a matter of taste/culture. I am used to highly spiced food (not sauces) which is broiled, baked or sauteed (frying does not enhance the taste of food at all). Therefore, I find British food bland and boring.
English food might not be particularly sophisticated, but it is inaccurate to say that it is all bland. English mustard, horse radish sauce or proper pickled onions will bring tears to your eyes. Then there's Worcestershire sauce, real cheddar cheese (not the mass-produced candle-wax often sold as cheddar), stilton - and don't forget our love of curry (remember that the English don't love spices because we went to India - we went to India because we loved spices).
A.k.a Bartholomew Roberts , who is one of many Welsh pirates , Henry Morgan , (Captain Morgan rum ? ) Robert Edwards , whom it is said was given a large piece of Manhattan which ti this day is claimed by various unproven relatives , many more of infamy , but if hadn't heard of black Bart who was far more successful and feared than blackbeard in reality then I guess I'd be wasted my time lol
Because there is a well-known song called The Black Hills of Dakota, and besides, the very famous monument Mount Rushmore is in the Black Hills. I am not from the USA.

to those who are used to some spice/seasoning in their food. It seems
the only spice used in English cuisine is salt (If you can call that a spice and not a preservative).
Regardless of what ignorant people say, neither jaguars nor leopards are panthers. There is no such thing as a black "panther."
