Somehow I got 5 points, despite only getting 6/11 questions and beating or equaling 36.4%. Not complaining...I'll take the points...just a little surprised
It's commonplace for royal sons to be awarded the title of a royal duke at their marriage. The queen's youngest, Edward, was named Earl of Wessex. He'll inherit the title Duke of Edinburgh from his father when both he and the queen pass on. Of course, mum and dad are 94 and 99 respectively and still rolling along.
When I type in the response for Camilla, the answer for William also appears. Is that a glitch or is there some reason why the two are considered equivalent?
They haven't updated Camilla, who ceased to be Duchess of Cornwall when she became Queen.
William gained the Dukedom of Cornwall automatically on becoming heir apparent, and so 'Cornwall' rightly gives you the Duke of Cornwall and Cambridge's answers.
Did this, before yesterday, give you Camilla (her husband having inherited his Father's Dukedom, so she was Dutchess) when you answered Phillip? That title is now merged with the Crown (and so ceased to exist), though expected to be recreated for Prince Edward.
Update, Prince Edward is, as of March 2023, Duke of Edinburgh. Strictly speaking, ‘Earl of Wessex’ is still correct, as is ‘Earl of Forfar’ and ‘Viscount Severn’ but the latter three are now subsidiary titles to the Dukedom of Edinburgh.
