The Easter question feels unfair to me. It gets celebrated in March an awful lot too. It's not as clear cut as, say, Chinese New Year. And, in fact, March 31st is the second most common day to celebrate Easter.

If you know that easter is celebrated the sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, it becomes obvious. The equinox always happens on the 21st(ish). Since the range of possible days for easter to land on after the equinox (28+7) is far greater than the number of days left in march (11), it must be celebrated more in April.

Turns out it is in March about 1/4th of the time.

I've always associated Easter with March more than April. I think it's because the first Easter I remember happened to fall in March. Also, March is the month that spring begins. I didn't know until now that it's only March 1/4 of the time.

I thought the longest day is in December because it takes the longest for the Earth to rotate to complete a whole day then...

The length of a day, in terms of a full rotation of the Earth, is constant throughout the year. The longest day in terms of the amount of sunlight, however, is on the summer solstice, which occurs in June in the northern hemisphere and in December in the southern hemisphere.

It's called a Maypole. You dance around with ribbons, kind of weaving them. I don't know the origins. Only seen it done once. It's kind of cool.

How funny that when the question was "When armistice was declared in WWI", the right answer was "11. November"!
