. . . and put "Harry Potter" in the title, so it was clear what the quiz was about, and so anyone who despises Harry Potter had all the information they needed to avoid them. They didn't claim to represent all of literature.
Slightly disappointed that "Angels with Filthy Souls" was not a valid answer for the Home Alone quote... although I suppose that was probably not a comedy movie :)
“Well all I'm saying is that I want to look back and say that I did it the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could when I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could when I was stuck in this place. Dobbed as many chicks as I could when I was stuck in this place.” — Don
Looks like Quizmaster and I were in high school at the same time. I blitzed through this, but I imagine it's pretty hard if you were born outside 1980-1993.
I think I didn't get the one from Rush Hour because the image of Chris Tucker throwing a towel at guy he just killed and saying "Wipe yoself off. You dead." has stuck in my mind so strongly as to erase the rest of that movie.
I mean, no list will be comprehensive. But it's a little shocking to see NO Woody Allen, NO Mel Brooks, NO Bill Murray, NO Coen Brothers... and no older classics (It Happened One Night, To Be Or Not To Be, Some Like it Hot, etc.) on a comedy list. I know it's just a quiz... but it's a little disappointing.
Animal House
Annie Hall
Ghostbusters
The Big Lebowski
Groundhog Day
