See I didn't get lockjaw because Tetanus can affect all parts of the body not just the jaw. Although it does do that to your jaw.

Doesn't stop that from being an extremely common synonym though?

Acid reflux is not heartburn. Heartburn is a symptom of acid reflux.

The Scottish musical instrument really threw me off.

Who would have guessed that bagpipes are considered to be a musical instrument.

Anytime I hear an accomplished bagpipe player, I think of their poor parents who had to endure the early days of the learning process, and wonder how they survived it.

Tried jetski, jetbike, waterski(s), sailboard... got there in the end but I think there are a few potential answers to that one.

As with many other commenters I have never heard of a 'nightstick'. It doesn't sound very nice!

To be pedantic (obviously) a mandate is what a candidate/party recieves as the result of a victory from an overwhelming majority vote, it does not refer to the vote itself.

Given a lot of English vocabulary relies on compounding, the list could go on for quite a while. The quiz doesn't need to be exhaustive.
