90% of the complaints can be answered/countered by simply rereading the title/description back to them.
Like a really really easy test, but with a lot of exceptions. (like "The name of this website" or "which animal meows" and in the description: you should leave out all t's in the answers.)
answers should be spelled backwards
plurals become singular and vice versa
if an answer contains 2 words only give the 2nd one (so new york becomes york)
If the answer to a question is a country, give its capital
That could be so much fun :D I could go on dreaming up more, but I ll leave it at this :)
Also, what about Indonesia, Thailand and PNG? All saw horrific fighting. Ditto in the case of Albania in Europe.
Thailand was Thailand
But it was just a Japanese puppet with no real losses
Just a thought, as a lot of people seem to be tripping up in the same way.
If you're being literal, the Slovak Republic did exist for a few years during the period, but the idea that it was an independent sovereign nation is pretty strange. It was a German puppet which only a handful of countries recognised, and which only existed in any sense for the duration of the war.
im gonna kill myself
Before becoming a Republic in 1961 South Africa introduced a large amount of apartheid-era legislation, relying on its independence via the Statute of Westminster to do so. If it wasn't independent in 1939 then effectively one could argue that the UK enacted large parts of the apartheid system, which I think you would agree would be silly.
All those countries are now independent. The Soviet Union recognized the independence of these countries in 1991.
Estonia adopted the declaration of independence 20.8.1991 and Latvia the following day. Lithuania had issued a proclamation in the early spring of 1990.
Lithuania and Russia, led by Yeltsin recognized each other in July 1991. Estonia and Latvia, the Russian Federation recognized the independence after the conservative coup attempt 24.8.1991.
There most notable services were in greece, crete, north africa and italy.
Seriously I am so stupid.
I'm the reason it's not 100%.
Agree with you that the Soviet Union sacrificed a lot though. Pretty ironic that a nation as autocratic as the USSR/Russia did more than any other country to save democracy. But, of course, I am grateful for that.
...but forget about ITALY.
I'd also like to say VERY nice quiz.... I've rated 5 stars
Keep up the good work!
Please update :)
