It's not that the shortest name is correct, it's that countries have short (standard) names and long (official) names. Would you want Venezuela to be in the Countries that begin with "B" quiz?
Hahaha, I'm from the US and that was the only one I missed. I was even thinking, "I'll bet there's another United one I'm forgetting about...". What a brain fart.
Reminds me of a "Why Americans are stupid" video on youtube. One of the questions was "Name the country that begins with "U"". One guy started: "Utah, Utopia, Yugoslavia..." and one girl was just standing with a dumb expression on her face. The journalist tried to help her and it looked like that: J: What about this country? G: Which one? J: The one we are in now G: What? J: United States G: Ooh!
Went into the quiz with Uganda and Ukraine in mind. Typed Ukraine, got UK as well, looked in the comments for the rest of the answers, got them, ended the quiz and it turns out I forgot Uganda.. *sigh*
Me too, I don't know why people think Americans are dumb in geography, Europeans thought that the world was flat, you could sail from Europe to Asia, their maps are hilariously wrong, the major projections are wrong, and a lot of Brits don't know Heinz is American!
Umm that may have been staged because what is a Utopia, Utah is a state, and no one I have met has ever thought that Yugoslavia exists anymore and yes I am an American! West Virginia!!!!!!
so MExico should be allowd, hehehe
*gets embarrassed
exactly one minute left :C
Little joke, what did Ukraine become after 1986?
UKRAINIUM.
APACHE
XD
Oh yeah also Uganda or whatever
Ukraine 68%
How is this possible? I'm fairly certain most people know a lot more about Ukraine.
