Yeah, I was about to say something about that. I would have thought it would go the other way around. I actually guessed Vanuatu first before the others. I believe it just has to do with how "unknown" the country is.
1:56 remaining...This actually really annoys me. I know that I, and many other JetPunk users, have made multiple challenging and interesting feature-able quizzes, yet the website features quizzes like this and the Seven Continents quiz, which are just plain dumb and are over in literally five seconds. All this does is reduce the number of decent quizzes that day, while snubbing more deserving quizzes from being featured.
These are some of the ones I enjoy most- they don't take up too much of your time if you're in a rush, but they can still get your brain working. Good quizzes for mornings!
Why does every quiz that's featured for that day have to be really challenging? Why can't kids or people who aren't as knowledgeable as you have these sorts of quizzes featured for them as well, or are they're "plain dumb" for just not being as good as you. Maybe I was under a false impression here but I thought that Jetpunk was for everyone. There'll still be the majority of the featured ones that are harder for everyone else anyway so what's the problem. You know what actually really annoys me? Obnoxious people on here like you Elan!
Honestly I think you are both right, Quizzes like the seven continent one or name the alphabet don't deserve to be featured, but that doesn't mean that quizzes where the average is below ten percent deserve to be
You just completely changed the meaning of what he is saying. He is not saying for the quiz to be hard... he is saying for it to be interesting. He is not making you take a quiz like "the top 5 gazillion cities in [insert random country]", but maybe more of the quizzes like "top 10 states/countries by ____", which are interesting. don't call people elitist unless they specifically refer to other people as being substandard.
My guess is that it's alphabetical order. If you manage to get Vatican, or even Venezuela, there's not much space for countries to come earlier. If you forget Vietnam, you've still got a lot of a lot of potential space for other names.
Vanuatu is one of those countries so unknown that people make a point of remembering it. Vietnam is one of those "obvious" countries so less people make a conscious effort to remember it.
Exactly... this type of quiz on this type of site is taken much more by people who are into trivia, not just random people. And people who are into trivia remember tiny countries like Vanuatu, Tuvalu, Palau, or Nauru primarily because they're useful as answers on quizzes, as opposed to any major world events having occurred there.
"When the war ended in 1945, the Americans withdrew their personnel from Vanuatu with as much haste as they did when they first arrived, leaving stockpiles of equipment behind. Planes, bulldozers and trucks were dumped under an initiative known as Operation Roll-Up and the islands of Vanuatu became a dumping spot, both on land and sea. A dive below reveals bulldozers, trucks and aeroplanes as the reclaimed home of tropical fish and colourful coral that have transformed these forgotten wartime relics into artificial reefs, making it an excellent diving location."
I played a flags of the world board game and they called it Vatican State with Vatican city being a capital of it. Has it changed or something because it also includes Swaziland instead of Eswatini.
Interesting that "Vanuatu" and "Vietnam" are tied for lowest percentage of guess. I mean, I went for Vanuatu and struggled to pluck Vietnam out of my head, even though it's a more familiar culture to me than the other.
Vietnam is now the last!!!
