I feel like by coloring the mainland countries, you take away from the quiz a little bit. I think the quiz is easy enough without the colors and is extremely easy with them, so I think they should be removed. Just my two cents though.
I was very surprised when Malaysia didn’t work. I know most of the population is on the mainland, but yeah, it looks like Malaysia is over 5 million for sure.
I had no idea that India even had islands, much less the most population of any non-island nation living on them. I had no idea that Mumbai was technically on an island.
Would Bangladesh make the cut? It's not easy to find the detailed stats, but between Hatiya, Sandwip ( both >400k) and a fair share of Barisal Division, which has 9.1M people (e.g. Bhola alone is already 1.8M), I wouldn't be surprised if more than 5M people live on islands
this is countries with the MOST people?? so like even though everyone who lives in the bahamas lives on an island they dont have millions of inhabitants and it doesnt make the list.
I was surprised that over 4 million Canadians live on islands. Which islands are those? I know Vancouver Island has a sizable population, but it still has under 1 million people.
I know it’s probably not enough to make the quiz but I wonder how many people live on all the combined Nigerian Islands such as Lagos island, snake island and others.
Here's how it turns out
Territories of East Malaysia:
Sarawak — 2,471,140

Plus more:

Total number is 7,547,790! And this is only these territories
