Vatican and Switzerland have square flags - mathematicians would (correctly) say that a square is a rectangle, but that feels a bit of a tight distinction in a general knowledge quiz. Maybe reference "irregular shape" or something like that instead?
yeah but a square and rectangle have different names and not 100% the same shape then how about say. What country flags arent a rectangle or square. Make the question 100% correct
That argument is illogical. How about we extend it to other shapes? Is a hexagon no longer a polygon because they have different names and not 100% the same shape? A square is a kind of rectangle, it fulfills the requirements of a rectangle, but has an added requirement of the sides being equal.
"Which European countries have a flag that consists of three stripes: red, white, and blue?" - Maybe it should be changed to "ONLY consists of...". Flags like the Serbian flag would technically qualify otherwise.
Yes. Another flag fact: When the Filipino flag is flown with the blue bar on top, it signifies that the Philippines is in peace. When the red bar is on top it signifies that the nation is in a state of war.
Did you know that according to legend, the Dannebrog originates from the battle of Lyndanisse (in modern-day Estonia)? It is said to have fallen from the sky when the Danes had nearly been defeated and the flag led them to victory.
