He was almost never called Arnie by anyone outside his circle, especially not during TV interviews, news stories, rallies, bodybuilding videos, or Movie credits which is what the general public knows him from. It would be the same as saying "Barry" is an extremely common nickname for Barrack Obama. It's a known nickname, but almost never used by the general public.

On top of the fact that he's never gone by that name, why would you not try using "arnold" or even just his last name? This seems like you were trying to get it wrong.
