Not quite. From Wikipedia: "Mongoose is the popular English name for 29 of the 34 species in the 14 genera of the family Herpestidae, which are small feliform carnivorans native to southern Eurasia and mainland Africa. The other five species (all African) in the family are the four kusimanses in the genus Crossarchus, and the only species in the genus Suricata: Suricata suricatta, commonly called meerkat in English."
So... both Mongeese and Meerkats are in the family Herpestidae, but they are not the same thing.
Timon is a meerkat. Everyone knows it. Did you know this about the lion king though, it should be rated higher than it is because of some of its questionable content and also that ABBA was originally going to do the music for it but the boys refused.
Nope, definitely a crab. Lobsters are more elongated and have a prominent tail. I had no idea so many people thought he was a lobster until I read this comment section.
Sebastian is definitely a lot longer than he is wide. Basicly the lobster dimensions, though indeed no tailflaps. So I would say the shape of a lobster but missing the essential parts; tail and segmented body.

Didn't get the vultures, gorilla or the goat either xP
