Been to Disney World more times than I can remember, and Disneyland once or twice I think. Dad's brother Butch lived in Jacksonville and we'd visit pretty much every summer. Had some good times there.
They were trying to build another park basically right in my grandmother's backyard in Haymarket/Gainesville, where my parents live now, but the local community was rallying against it and Disney said fine and left.
Disney has completely taken over Orlando. If I were local to somewhere Disney wanted to build, I'd probably rally against it. If your economy doesn't need the boost, it's not worth losing your entire local culture.

Anaheim is where it is located. I even asked my Amazon Alexa after my answer was not counted, and she said Disneyland was located in Anaheim. Please accept the answer.
It's technically inaccurate to say Walt Disney World is in Orlando; it is actually in a town called Lake Buena Vista, about 20 minutes away from Orlando
