It's not a language limitation but general knowledge that is specific to growing up in an English speaking country. I speak English but don't know Humpty Dumpty as my nursery rhymes were in another language.
Oops accidently deleted my comment instead of replying, anyways, if you look it up you will need to scroll to you see the land area table in which case China is second. If you take away all the water in Canada it ranks 4th. Since the quiz says land area the answer is China. If you even check the wikiepedia page about area it shows its land area as higher than Canada's.
Another nitpicker here - I immediately knew the answer but eggplants can be several colors besides purple - white, pink, orange, yellow, or green. The commercial ones in the US are usually the honking big purple ones but their name originated from the smaller white ones that look like eggs.
"Fruit" has a scientific definition and a culinary definition. "Vegetable" only has a culinary definition. An eggplant (like the tomato) is scientifically a fruit, but culinarily a vegetable.
For the kings of France one, I tried William, Henry, and Alexander. Eventually, I gave up afterwards. I suppose "French" was the clue there but honestly never thought of Louis.
< sarcasm > Here and surrounding counties he is known has Bertrand the Ovoid who is somewhat of a dandy and falls off a ladder after having his cravat is caught in a hanging candelabra. Everyone then enjoys a scrumptious custard made of his decadent innards and wipe their mouths with his embroidered lace shirt cuffs. Please accept that too < / sarcasm >
Actually, there are only 17 French kings called Louis. King Louis XVIII was the brother of the well-known king, Louis XVI, who was beheaded and his young son, Louis XVII died in prison during the french revolution.
Argh the Muhammed Ali one had me stuck. I've heard that saying, but never knew what it came from. I kept trying to remember what the American planes were called in WWII for some reason, and just couldn't. Lol.
Technically, Humpty Dumpty is not necessarily an egg. That is only what Lewis Carroll (aka Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) portrayed him as in his book Through the looking glass & what Alice found there.
Not me misreading "Netherlands" as "Neanderthals" for a second and becoming very confused that humans not only know the language of "Neanderthals" but also it is "easy general knowledge"
