Army captains who were sent by President Jefferson to map the American northwest in about 1805. They led the Corps of Discovery, went from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean and back, looking for a navigable route (which doesn't exist). Very heroic, took a couple of years. Along with their soldiers, they took a French guide and his Native American wife and baby son. The wife, Sacagawea, was instrumental in their expedition in many places.
I am British and I have heard of Lewis and Clark. Brilliant book by Stephen E Ambrose, who also wrote A Band of Brothers upon which the memorable TV series was based.
First (and only) thought was 'Lewis and Morse'. Couldn't get past that one I'm afraid - probably true for anyone growing up in the UK in the 80's & 90's when it was a HUGE TV series.
I'm American so the answer came immediately to mind, but I also love the British series. My first thought along that line would have been Hathaway, since Lewis is listed first.
Missed Wooster. Phineas and Ferb is one of the best cartoons around today. Thank god my kids like that one or I am sure my brain would fry. Plenty of adult humor that is actually funny.
Regis and Kathy Lee were on for 12 years. He was on with Kelly for 11. He is on with neither now and hasn't been with Kelly since 2011 so you would be wrong. For me and I'm sure others familiar with the show during Regis' tenure, Regis and Kathy Lee comes to mind before Regis and Kelly. They were the original pair and established the format of the show.
Sad that so few are familiar with the absolutely brilliantly witty Jeeves & Wooster series by P.G.Wodehouse. The books, the TV series, the audiobooks...all are, as someone else said, stellar.
Folks, mention all your favorite duos that didn't make the quiz, or better yet make another one yourself. But please note that this quiz did not claim to be a comprehensive list of every famous duo that ever existed.
Same as you (with Hutch too), and I knew none of the answers. Crazy to see that this quiz is marked as easy, whereas it actually only is for American (I'm French)
Never heard of Ren and Stimpy either.
Some of the other duos were questionable, being adversaries rather than partners. Byt Mr Hyde was Dr Jekyll
