Is it just me or is it really sad that Billy Ray is the best known dad out of all these?

Really. Billy Ray Cyrus more than Bruce Lee, Steven Tyler, Kirk Douglas, Ronald Reagan, Will Smith, Julio iglesias? He had one song. He's hardly the best known of these.

Don't confuse best with best known. I suspect he's only well known because of his daughter's antics which keep her in the news.

Answer percentages will always be biased in favor of recent people. Bruce and Brandon Lee have both been dead a long time. Steven and Liv Tyler are both still around, but neither has done anything particularly newsworthy in the last couple years. Same with Kirk and Michael Douglas, Julio and Enrique Iglesias. In the case of Ronald Reagan and Patti Davis, the differing last names is going trip up a LOT of people as well. On the other hand, Miley is in the news frequently, and her dad is more known for being her dad at this point than he ever was for his gimmicky song.

I did a quiz on famous parents a while back. Hasn't been taken many times and this seems like an appropriate place to plug it.

Anyone tried Nash Bridges for Jeff Bridges? :)

It was the first thing that popped into my head as I was typing as fast as I could to have the most time for later in the quiz. I didn't actually type it, but the thought was there.

I wrote "Joseph" for "Joe Jackson." Joseph should be allowed since that was the man's legal name.

Also, he rather notoriously instructed his children to address him as "Joseph."

Wouldn't accept Steve instead of Steven Tyler but accepted Joe Jackson?

I agree that Steve Tyler should be accepted. It threw me when it wasn't. He's occasionally referred to as such in the press.

So I get the Steven Tyler and Joe Jackson (because I don't think I've ever heard them referred to as Steve or Joseph), but there is definitely some room for flexibility. Took me forever to figure out Voight (Voigt, Vogt, Voght) and I was really surprised it didn't accept Allen.

For Elizabeth I, we might want to accept someone else. It's been thought old Henry was impotent and his kids came from elsewhere.

I mean... it's not completely impossible but the fact that he had 13 children claimed to be legitimate plus a string of illegitimate children (all by multiple different women) drastically reduces the chances of that being true.

Kirk Douglas was born during World War I. He's still full of p and v.
