Belisarius is a fascinating character and a very worthy quiz answer, but he didn't achieve the reconquest of Italy - that was Narses.

Narses will be accepted for that one now.

Not in the slightest. Eastern Roman history is frowned upon by westerners and the majority of the users here are Americans and British.

As someone pointed out in the earlier version of this quiz, he was a general with no army.

But he's known as a general, contrary to most of the people on this list... when was that denomination invented? Not before the 16th century, I think.

Admiral Yi Sun-Sin should definitely make the list. Look up the Battle of Myeongnyang. He was at least as good as Nelson, but probably better.

Cortés warrants a mention.

Shaka Zulu should definitely be on here.

Jebe and/or Subodai should be on here. Probably also Timur.

Just one man's humble opinion.

The clue for Atilla gives it away. The average person can only name 1 Hun. I would word it:

"Known as the "Scourge of God" this person briefly ruled over Central Europe"

Yeah, he had a few relatives of some note but I never heard of any of them referred to as Joe the Hun or Felix the Hun.
