I know Rodriguez was a shortstop, but I think it makes more sense to say third baseman since that's the position he plays now.

Maybe, but he used steroids when he was a shortstop. He only moved to third base when he went to the Yankees and supposedly did not use steroids after that.

rumors are that he did use steroids after he left the rangers and joined the yankees

The category is famous New Yorkers. A-Rod never played short stop as a Yankee; that was Jeter's gig. So it should say steroid using 3rd baseman.

I got it, but I wasn't sure when I was typing in the answer.

He hasn't been at short for awhile. If you are mentioning shortstop in the clue, third base has to be also given or you could be confusing the quiz taker.

Only one representative from upstate? This is a NYC people quiz, not an NYS quiz.

Thought Bennifer referred to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, and since they're divorcing the "former" made sense... I guess I'm too young to have known the Lopez phase

Mark Zuckerberg isn't from White Plains. He lived in Dobbs Ferry and went to Ardsley schools.

F Scott Fitzgerald is not from New York, and even though he lived there a short while, was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota and self-identified as Minnesotan. He lived in Buffalo only about ten years from the ages of 2-12 while his father jumped between jobs. They then returned to St. Paul where Scott finished his schooling and lived on and off until after his daughter Scottie was born.

Technically, you should accept a lot of actors' names as Spartacus.

So many New Yorkers could be added to make this about the whole state. Tommy Hilfiger, FDR, Hal Roach, Ani diFranco, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Herman Melville...

Weirdly enough, A-Rod's also on the Famous Floridians Quiz. I looked it up and he wasn't from NYC.
