Letterman's last videos have been deleted from YouTube, sadly (the official ones) but I found a comment I made about one of his last shows or the last one, in which all sorts of celebrities, mainly comedians came on to his show to do a top ten or something. And among them was Peyton Manning, and I commented that obviously he admires and loves as friends his fellow comedians, but his respect for Peyton Manning almost amounted to reverence.
Who cares... just cause it's something is better known in a particular part of the world doesn't mean that it's a bad question. it just means you don't know the answer. I get that there';s a lot of american stuff here, but that's cause the people making them are mostly american. if you want one with more British questions or more Indian questions, then make one. I never understand why people feel the need to complain simply because they don't know the answer
Anyone who followed the royal wedding coverage would know Kate and Pippa with no problem. Pippa is not a common nickname in the US - not many girls here named Phillipa - and I still remember one of the American news commentator's stupid comments, "I want a best friend named Pippa!"
Former NFL quarterback, two time Super Bowl winner, stars in Nationwide Insurance, Papa John's Pizza, Buick, MasterCard, Sprint, GatorAid and DirecTV commercials. Not five minutes goes by that you won't see at least one of them.
why? they made popular music for a while. songs that a lot of people still play/listen to today. you might not like them, but that doesn't mean anything. I HATE kanye west, but that doesn't mean there should never be any questions about him.
Good idea for a quiz. You could add Joel and Ethan Coen (filmmakers); George and Ira Gershwin (composers); Gummo, Zeppo, Chico, Groucho and Harpo Marx; Phil and Don Everly (musician); Abigail and Ann Landers (aka identical twins Ann Landers and Dear Abby).
Hey, I know her. I'm not from the UK, dont watch the news (but sometimes you catch a few seconds of preview "like later on in the news.." before zapping away..
It is more than I can say for most of these. Some I dont know at all.. like manning and wayans, a few others I ve missed, The last name sounds familiar but wouldnt have know the first names.
It's an interesting question: How famous is famous?
If non-Brits who don't live in the commonwealth know her name, I'd say that's famous. But the case COULD be made that Pippa is only famous for BEING Kate's sister.
I think it is more likely that, like me, they didn't know of anybody else famous called Britney. I didn't even know she had a sister. I did get the others that you listed as well, though
Only one i missed was Kate and Pippa. Never heard of Pippa. I thought the Kate might have been the Duchess but couldn't remember her last name. Surprised 81% got that one right!
Someone save me a trip to Google, who the heck are Damon and Keenen Ivory? I assume they are American celebrities who haven't made it across the pond.
Ohh and as a Brit who has next to zero interest in American sports, I still knew the Peyton question. He is about the most famous NFL player around. So famous, even I have heard of him.
