Master Splinter was in charge of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, just as Papa Smurf was in charge of the smurfs. Leonardo was like a field commander, but Splinter was the general.
I agree completely. I put Splinter first too. The answer should be changed. Calling Leonardo the leader of the Turtles is like calling Cyclops the leader of the X-Men. Professor X and Splinter play the exact same role.
All this time I always thought it was "Leonardo leaps, Donatello does machines." I always thought that was strange. Leads makes more sense. :D though of course in the T-U-R-T-L-E Power song from the live action movie it says: "Splinter's the teacher and they are the students. Leonardo, Michelangelo and Donatello make up the team with one other fellow: Raphael- he's the leader of the group"
I agree with the Splinter comments. I also got confused with the Lost Boys thing, I was thinking of the 80's movie with Kiefer Sutherland and Corey Feldman.
Yup, I was thinking of the Lost Boys movie also. In that case it would've been the vampire bloke with the white dog, whatever his name was. Also, Powerpuff Girls, very much like the Ninja Turtles, the real boss is Professor Utonium.
To answer some of the queries above (ie. TMNT) I think there is a difference between a leader, and the person in charge. Pedantry maybe, but worth considering.
P.S. I only scored 5/22.
P.P.S. Powerpuff Girls! Now that's the stuff! Back then a little blood wasn't too much for a kids' cartoon.
Eventually realised I was missing the obvious.
