Love this quiz! My best was 5:55 left, so there's room for improvement. Though I gotta say, i lost precious seconds scrolling down when i reached the last flag visible and when, after skipping a flag that had gone out of my head, i had to scroll back up and find the yellow box, and with so many colors on the flags, it's not as easy as it sounds xD

Is there a way to have the page auto-focus on the box that's currently highlighted? so we don't have to take our hands out of the keyboard to grab the mouse and scroll?

That and a randomize option would be amazing!

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but West African country flags are that way for a reason. Many of them were colonized by other nations, specifically the United Kindom. The reason for the three colors, red, yellow, and green, was to tell other West African nations in which freedom was only a thought that hope was there. The three colors are also just an important part of West African culture, red symbolizes the campaign for freedom, yellow is the mineral wealth of the continent, and green is the representation of the wildlife that resides within the African continent. Also, no offense, but you are just a kid on the internet. The West African people probably won't listen to that request, as the flags are such an important part of their history and culture.

I think I'm unusual among geography nerds in that I don't really care about flags much. I think part of it is that I'm not really a visual learner (I'm better at reading something and remembering information, but this doesn't really work with flags), so I'm just not that good at remembering flags. Not that I do terribly, but compared to countries and capitals and most geography quizzes, I don't do well. I think in part it's also because flags don't seem to reflect much about concrete reality, so I'm just not particularly interested in them. Learn about a country's cities, its rivers, its mountains, its languages, its ethnicities, its religions... you get a better picture of what sort of place it is. Learn about a country's flag and you really don't know much substantial about it. One day, for completeness' sake I might try and learn 'em all, but I know it's gonna be a struggle. Far too many repetitive designs (I should know, I'm Australian - we've got the watermark).
