You could ve been joking, if not do some research before randomly posting stuff. Cant believe it got 21 likes. Did they all think the same? Or hoped so??
cape only got its current flag since 1992. The EU emblem goes as far back as 1955 (by its predecessors)
besides one got 10 stars other 12. More interesting i find the similarity with dominica. (Though if you havent noticed yet those stars are all "facing" the center instead of being the same way up)
Who cares if it gives it away? No way to tell that it's China otherwise. Should they only show 25 US stars because otherwise, it's too obvious that it's the US? It would be obvious that it's China because that's what the answer is lol.
Apart from the fact that China is the only flag with that colour scheme with stars arranged like that. If there's really no way to tell that it's China then please explain to me how nearly 90% of people got it correct.
I dont see why the background had to be changed. Not very representative. Maybe the thought was otherwise it would be too easy ? But now everyone incorrectly thinks the cape verde flag looks like the eu flag..
Dominica really got me there I keept trying to enter morocco since the colours were so similar. It's really confusing viewing only the stars of the flags!
It is most likely due to these quizzes being timed, and it would take way too long to type out Bosnia and Herzegovina as opposed to just Bosnia. Also, if someone types Bosnia, they most likely know it is Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is similar to typing acronyms for countries like PNG, UK, USA, or CAR, it would be too time consuming to type the whole name of the country out.
As a person who knows most country flags, this was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Not seeing the whole picture really makes it difficult to make out what flag is in question.
Curiosity: The Brazilian flag stars are a representation of the night sky of November 15, 1889, the day of the The Proclamation of the Republic of Brazil (a shameful military coup d'état, to be honest).
Little correction: representation of the MORNING sky of 15-nov-1889. (Yeah, weird, bubt its to coincide with the moment of the public shout of proclamation)...
Cape Verde flag looks identical to EU flag because it has a solid blue background. Actual Cape Verde flag has red and white stripes running through the centre. Change the flag colours to those of Cape Verde islands.
I'm really not a fan of the solution for Cape Verde. Some of the stars aren't against a blue background on the actual flag. The depictions of Grenada, Dominica, and Bosnia (and probably some others I'm forgetting right now) can also not be found on the actual flag like that, although at least the stars are depicted against the correct background colour.
I understand that it's supposed to be tricky, but at least the Cape Verde bit is actually just misleading. I also don't understand what the problem with showing all 5 of China's stars is, considering you're showing the full patterns for flags like Australia and Tuvalu which are similarly recognisable by their layout.

Anyway Cape Verde gets dibs on flag design over the EU because, obviously, it's an actual country.
then i tried the eu
lol

What you have here is the EU flag.
Put this into the "Hint" column.
