Congratulations for the #100! I bet someone is already hyped for #200.

I pronounce guerilla as in Spanish (where the word came from), that sounds like "gaireeya", but then again, English isn't my native language.

I don't pronounce guerilla like gorilla, either, but there's not exactly a lot of other words that would fit that answer.

Is it? I mean, the French have a whole class of pastries, including the croissant, referred to as "viennoiserie "

From what Ik, it’s actually a historical misconception that croissants originated from Austria. I’m a city child from Vienna and at school we were always taught that croissants, alongside coffee, were introduced to us by the Ottomans when they besieged the city.

It does for sure! My mom lives *on* that border. From Delaware, she often walks across the street to Pennsylvania for breakfast.

As a Virginian I can say that one's not true. We're bordered by DC and Maryland but not Delaware. But yes the part of Delaware that sticks out at the top and includes Wilmington (many Delaware-ites call it The Semicircle) borders both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Gorilla and Guerilla. Must be an American quiz then.

Next time it will be stated that Bordeaux and Puerto are homophones, too :P

I added (to some) to the clue because I don't know how Brits pronounce guerilla. In the typical American accent, they are homophones:

Some improvements: 1) Do not accept 'Khan' as this is more of a title. That would be like accepting Caesar for each and every Emperor after JC 2) Add the dialect in which Gorilla is pronounced like G. This is unnecessarily hard to guess if you learned BE for example
