Hate to nit pick (okay that's a lie, who doesn't love to nit pick), but one could argue that it's actually carbon dioxide that causes bread to rise, not the yeast itself
Baking soda, baking powder and beaten eggs are more used for cakes and cookies, not really for "proper" bread. Although I guess that would depend on the definition of bread. Also ammounium bicarbonate is used (Salt of hart's horn). Stinks to high hell when being baked though.
In all seriousness, the locals call it the Big Island because the name of the island is Hawaii, but so is the name of the entire state. So because it's the biggest island, to avoid confusion it's The Big Island.
I always thought Long Island was the biggest island in the U.S., but it turns out it's not even close. It is only the biggest island in the *contiguous* United States. But it's still, by far, the most populated island in the U.S. (just over twice the population of Puerto Rico and over seven times the population of the next-most populated island, O'ahu).
The contiguous United States or officially the conterminous United States consists of the 48 adjoining U.S. states plus Washington, D.C. on the continent of North America. The terms exclude the non-contiguous states of Alaska and Hawaii, and all off-shore insular areas,
As Pharley noted, I was pretty obviously using "contiguous United States" in the colloquial sense to refer to the 48 mainland states. Everyone, including you, understands that term and how it is applied. But I know you're loath to miss a chance to jump down someone's throat, so I'm just happy I could bring that little bit of joy into your day.
And to preempt your response: yes, I know what the dictionary definition of "contiguous" is, and yes, I know Long Island is not connected by land to mainland New York or New Jersey. But it's a five-minute drive to the mainland with no traffic. If you took the Long Island Railroad, you wouldn't even notice you were leaving an island. People on Long Island consider themselves part of the contiguous United States. I know this because I grew up there.
Because tripe is made form the stomach (specifically the stomach lining). Intestines, large or small, are also eaten in various ways but the'y not part of the stomach and they're not anything to do with tripe.
It'd be like accepting "leaves" when asked which part of the potato plant is commonly eaten.

I did get the answer right on my second guess, though.
