It is - there are many non-American shows shown in the US, I'm a big fan of BBC America. Doctor Who, Torchwood, Faulty Towers, Graham Norton, Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares, Law and Order UK - and that's just a short list.
Interesting to note that the list is almost entirely British. I happen to love all those shows as well. I wonder how many non-british television shows are shown in the US? Also this quiz was very american centric.
Eliotbliss - It had some American questions but many that weren't. There are enough quizzes on this site to cater for all. I got them all and I'm not American.
Some TV shows in the US which originated from other countries besides the UK include Big Brother and Deal or No Deal (Netherlands), Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (Japan), Survivor (Expedition Robinson in Sweden), Ugly Betty (Colombia), and Wilfred (Australia).
@eliotbliss Only two of the question were "american" which is very low. And they are even things you could guess at (not like brands we dont have here) there are actually 3 Uk questions on here so you should rather call it UK-centric ;) (jk)
Really? What was confusing about it? It was given in Roman numerals, therefore the answer should be in Roman numerals. It's the same as using the same part of speech in the answer as was used in the question.
What's confusing is that you DENY it's confusing in the face of a wealth of evidence that indicates that it is. I didn't find it confusing. But a whole host of people did.
It's okay if they are confused. In this case, being confused will prevent you from arriving at the correct answer. Which is also okay. It's just a quiz.
Wether it is confusing or not, as soon as it doesnt accept 32, things should become clear and you should realize what is meant ( an aha moment).
I tried the roman numerals first cause I knew that was what was asked for and had to be accepted but was indeed curious as to what would have happened if I had tried 32
There are speed limits on german Autobahn. Believe me, I am from Germany. I wonder why people from USA thinking, that there are no speed limits. Sometimes you have limit of 80 km/h which is very annoying, when you had a speed of 180 or 200 km/h before. Its like standing. So please describe Autobahn somehow different, because its just not true, that there are no speedlimits.
Agree with the "no general speed limit" phrasing. I have no idea what a "federal speed limit" is supposed to be, and I don't think other Germans would understand this either. Administration of the Autobahn network is currently in the hands of the states, which act on behalf of the federal government; so it is true that there is no speed limit directly mandated by the federal government at the moment.
But administration will go to the federal government in 2021; do the same speed limits (due to construction, noise reduction, ...) become federal speed limits then?
I agree that 32 should be accepted. I thought I was doing something wrong because there's a quiz with roman numerals that asks for the answers in arabic numerals.
Was sure it would be Florida... Even thought Alaska for a second - heard somewhere it was the most easterly, westerly and northerly state, maybe it could be the most southerly too?!?!
Ah yes. Who could forget such family-friendly films such as Deadpool, The Punisher, Watchmen, Logan, The Crow, Kick-Ass, Batman: The Killing Joke, Spawn...
It as really confusing.

(I tried sides, faces, etc.. I'm fine with learning the term facet)
thanks love
