A richter scale interprets the seismographical data generated by a seismometer. Kind of like how a ruler measures, but the data is interpreted as imperial/US or metric. My interpretation anyways
I know you're trolling but pizza was not originally made in Naples, neither in its earliest proto form (probably Greece), nor in the way that is familiar to billions around the world who use the word to describe it (New York).
Though of course New York pizza (also known as pizza) is the variety that is almost always served with an evenly-distributed layer of a mozzarella cheese as a foundation. That's why the quiz only specifies "pizza." Because New York style pizza is, to virtually everyone alive on the surface of the Earth, pizza. But there are other varieties that use less, none, or other kinds of cheeses.
FYI: in Italy we actually have at least two pizzas with Parmesan: the "four cheeses" which often includes parmesan, and a pizza topped with parmesan flakes (not melted), arugola and bresaola.
see? Other varieties do exist. Even though this isn't what people usually mean when they say pizza. So the question on the quiz is, of course, near universally understood.
isn't anthony (of padua) also a patron saint for lost causes? i clearly remember my nan saying some kind of prayer (rhyme) whenever she couldn't find things. and wikipedia seems to agree.
Could you accept more type-ins for St. Jude? He is also commonly known as St. Jude Thaddeus or just Thaddeus, as well as just Judas or Jude (but not to be confused with Judas Iscariot, who is obviously not a saint).
I think it's meant to be a little convoluted; it more tests your knowledge of terms related to mountains, rather than just your knowledge of mountains itself.
Right, I was confused about only 25% when basically all it does is ask for the tallest mountain. But then on re-reading the question, I see that it never actually mentions mountains so I guess a lot of people don't even know what the question is about.
It completely stumped me. I had not the faintest idea what it was on about. It becomes clear when you see the answer, but I’m not sure I would have worked it out.
Only scored 9/20. I'm pretty sure "impeity" is misspelled (should be impiety), and I also got fooled the fourth question. Tried "magnitude" over and over, turns out it was the Richter scale. Great quiz overall.
:D
