not a homophone for most accents in English. It seems to be based on RP which is only spoken by a few percent of English speakers mostly in the SE of England.

Why is 'Pocahontas' not accepted? That's the spelling in the title of the Disney film, and it's how her name is spelled.

I would have gotten the Tolkien question if I was thinking straight. I interpreted that it meant the first and middle names were both "John Ronald Reuel". I.e. his name would be "John Ronald Reuel John Ronald Reuel Tolkien".
