@CoolDood It is both the kangaroo and emu on their coat of arms. The question says one of Australia's national animals...so yes, you are partially right.
Lucd13, sorry but you're not. Bear is eaten both in Finland and Russia and I expect that some others can be found too https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_animals
Hmmm, why is a bird now called an animal? Yes an emu cannot fly, but it has wings, feathers, lays eggs, got a beak and eats bird food. I am an Aussie but still peeved to report I was completely stuck on echidna.
In school we learned that Mt Blanc was the highest mountain of Europe. Checking the map I am still not convinced it's Elbrus (which I never heard of before). Anyway I can accept "Mt Blanc" really doesn't fit as an answer in this quiz.
THERE'S A HUGE MISTAKE HERE!! IT SAYS: EUROPE'S TALLEST MOUNTAIN, ANSWER "ELBRUS". THAT IS WRONG; ELBRUS IS LOCATED IN ASIA, WHILST THE ACTUAL TALLEST EUROPEAN MOUNTAIN IS MONT BLANC. SHAME ON YOU JETPUNK!
Yes, and while we're at it, can we also discuss whether to call it Burma/Myanmar, if Cyprus is in Europe or Asia, if the Hague is accepted as capital for the Netherlands, and if Wales is a country or not? Because those things have definitely never been addressed on jetpunk before, and I, for one, would really like to see them argued about in multiple comment threads til the dead horse is like, REALLY dead.
ehm no... the netherlands only has one capital... just because others cant remember that, that doesnt change the facts.. and it is comments like the above that perpetuate this confusion.
Where do you draw the boundary between Europe and Asia? Normally the Caucasus Mountain watershed is the boundary in that portion of the world. Elbrus is clearly on the European side of the Caucusus divide.
...and if you want to take it there, Echaz, Eder, Eider, Elbe, Elde, Else, Elz (Neckar), Elz (Rhine), Elzbach, Ems, Emscher, Ennepe, Enz, Enz (Prüm) and Erft should be all the rivers in Germany starting with the letter "E".
Only 25% got Elbrus? I understand there may be some confusion since it depends on where you consider the Asia-Europe border to be, but I would have thought at least 55% would get that.
While Amsterdam is generally accepted as the capital of the Netherlands, its legislature meets in Den Haag (The Hague), which makes Den Haag the seat of the government of the Netherlands. It is, therefore, not incorrect to say that the Netherlands has two capitals. Unlike Bolivia (Sucre/LaPaz) and South Africa (Capetown/Bloemfontein), the Netherlands doesn't publicize its two capitals, that doesn't mean that they don't exist.
Also, we're the only country in the world who eats our national animal. Nom nom.
i mean animal and mammal sound pretty similar but you get taught the difference in like 2nd or 3rd grade
Got all the others besides the alberta one.
