It's Martin Luther King, Jr.

His name is Martin Luther King. The Jr is sometimes added to differentiate him from his father, but it's not an integral part of his name that must always be included whenever it's written down.

Actually he was born Michael King Jr. but his name was later changed to Martin Luther, so the Jr. technically was part of his name.

Are you referring to the Doctor Reverend Martin Luther King Junior? Without all the titles I get all the different Martin Luther King's confused. :)

Yeah, til the 2011 move to Winnipeg, we had the Thrashers (The Brown Thrasher is the state bird, keeping with the avian theme of Falcons & Hawks). My favorite team name, back in the 70s, was the hockey team from Macon...Macon Whoopees.

The Thrashers were a flash in the pan. THE Atlanta hockey team was the Flames! Shame they couldn't have stayed, but I guess Calgary isn't complaining. Won the Stanley Cup in '89. Could've been a 2nd trophy for Atlanta sports teams.

Fellow Falcon fan here. 2017 was a heartbreaker, maybe we'll get another shot some day.

I give any current Falcons fan a ton of credit. After that Super Bowl loss to New England, I don't think I would've ever watched football again. One of the toughest losses I've ever seen. And as a Bengals fan, I've seen plenty.

I watched the Super Bowl loss in 2017, then a year later watched the Georgia Bulldogs lose the college football national title in similarly heartbreaking fashion to another hated dynasty, the Alabama Crimson Tide, then 11 months later watched Georgia again blow a lead in heartbreaking fashion to Alabama. It hasn't been good for my mental health.

Wilson was from there too. He was born in Virginia, but remembered the Union Army coming through Augusta when he was growing up there.

Bit of trivia - Vidalia onion is a trademarked name that can only be used by growers in twenty Georgia counties. They can be any of several varieties - Granex is one, but even though I grow Granex onions in my garden I can't call them Vidalia onions because I didn't grow them in that area of Georgia. We stopped in Vidalia once and bought onions from a local grower and I was surprised to learn they weren't a special kind of onion, only sweet varieties of short-day onions that were grown in the specific soil and weather conditions of that region.
