Eventually I got "Samaritan." But there's also a parable of the good shepherd. Maybe I know too many parables. Sorry.

Yup, the good shepherd is very well known. It’s debatable whether it’s a parable, though, since I believe that Jesus WAS the good shepherd right?

Interesting, but what does it mean? I googled it and it seems it can be either a movie or a hat.

Could "goodness gracious" be loosened up a little? "Good God" "Good Heavens" "Goodness!" "Good Lord" etc. are all the same concept and variations of the same thing. Gave up after trying several

I guess you don't know the Jerry Lee Lewis song references in the hint, then? The key line goes "Goodness gracious, great balls of fire!" So that's why it's so specific.

I think my english thinking part of my brain wasn't switched in that that, or perhaps all of it was running at half capacity haha, those days happen. Sometimes you come across quizzes and think huh, did I really not know that 6 months ago?? (Like you scored 10/20 previously and this time 18/20 without hesitations)

"on the third day... "

Popular prayer... Why has this not been fixed in the last 1000 years? I've asked people who grew up in the church and they litterally were stunned they never realized this before.

I don't think it means "3 days after," I think it means the "3rd day." So, if you consider the Crucifixion (Good Friday) as the 1st day, Saturday is the 2nd, and Easter Sunday is the 3rd. There are also a lot of cultures that celebrate Easter on Monday, so I guess it depends on one's interpretation.
