Steganography should also be acceptable for "Encoding information". I kept trying different spellings and was very frustrated because I couldn't think of anything else! Cryptography never occurred to me for some reason.
wow i got 5 points and I missed two! Usually you only get two or three points then.. Stupidly couldnt think of topography and hadnt heard of hagiography. Stunning how low ( and quite a bit lower than most other answers) typo- steno- and demography are.
Maybe it's just that most people don't contribute quizzes. Or that QM isn't rude and he makes half the quizzes. But I do think I've seen one person who's made quizzes and can be a bit rude in comments, though.
I don't feel that 'cinematography' is the correct description of a filmed biography. It's dictionary definition is: 'the art and technology of motion-picture photography'. 'Bio-pic' is suggested as the definition of a filmed biography.
Encoding information -> cryptography is wrong. There is a difference between encoding and encryption (cryptography). When you encode a message, you anyone can decode it without any additional information. But to encrypt a message you need a secret key and to decrypt the message you need a secret key as well.
So in other words, you encrypt stuff when you need to keep the stuff secret. But you encode stuff when you need to change it format (e.g. for serialization purposes).
I am a freaking graphic designer! lol
I blame the description, though, since the term "typography" does not just involve designing fonts! :p
