yes, but divination and divinity both derive from something supernatural, divination is the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means.
Could you accept Death Stick for Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak for cloak of Invisibility? Also, could the Resurrection Stone be counted as a Horcrux since it was the stone in Gaunt's ring?
I'm a little bit ashamed that I didn't remember Imperio or Umbridge. I guess I made up for it by getting almost all of the classes (I forgot herbology for some stupid reason).
I'd suggest possibly accepting DADA for Defence Against the Dark Arts, as it's an acronym that is used occasionally. And it might also have been fun to include the teachers of said subject.
There's an argument to be made that she wasn't a rightful headmistress. It's stated that the portaits in the Head's office are bound to obey the rightful Head, but the office itself shuts itself to her. I tried Dippet and Phineas Nigellus before getting her.
Maybe add categories for DADA Teachers, Gilderoy Lockhart's Books, The Marauders (by nicknames or by real name), Sorcerer's Stone Defenses, Schools of Magic, Triwizard Tournament Competitors, and Basilisk Victims!
I knew all of the Hogwarts classes. I spelt 'resurrection' correctly for the first time. Why is it then, that I still can't remember that Umbridge was Headmistress for a while?!
She wasn't. The quiz is actually incorrect. She was supervisor. She tried to banish Trelawney from the grounds, but Dumbledore came along and stopped it because only the headmaster of Hogwarts could banish someone from the grounds and Umbridge had no right to.
She was, Dumbledore just said that as Headmaster she had the power to fire somebody, but not to kick them off of school grounds. When Filch was hanging all those rules on the wall, one of them said that Dolores Umbridge had taken over Dumbledore's position as Headmaster.

I wouldn't exactly consider Umbridge a headmistress, in spite what she may try to claim otherwise. It is quite clear she usurped power in the school and no one really considers her to have officially held the position.
For the classes I thought of dancing (because we're never allowed to forget that, Ron must be humiliated forever) but I understand why it isn't on here.
It means headmasters present in the books, but yeah maybe some clearing up in the instructions. However, of the top of my mind I can think of three other headmasters besides the ones here and dippet and black
The wand is known by many different names. Restricting it to just "elder wand" when it is also called variously the "wand of destiny", "death stick", etc. is too limiting and these should be acceptable answers. (This coming from someone who just re-read "Deathly Hollows for the x time in the past week).
It's been about 4 years since I finished the books, and I only missed 5 of the classes. Not bad for being away from it for so long, but sadly only good enough for the 60th percentile.
All first go!! But might be good to clarify that the required headmasters are only the ones to cover the span of the books? (My first two tries were Armando Dippett and Phineas Nigellus Black)
Anyone ever notice that groups of seven show up A LOT in Harry Potter. Seven books. Seven Horcruxes. Seven years at hogwarts. Seven Weasley children. Seven quidditch team members. ect.
Umbridge was never the headmaster of Hogwarts. She tried kicking out Trelawney in the Order of the Phoenix, but failed because Dumbledore came in and denied her from doing that, saying that she could fire Trelawney, but only the headmaster could banish her from the grounds.
Maybe someone typed in the last names for the Main characters instead of first names like Potter Granger and Weasley, and then proceeded to NOT get Ron? idk.
Can you please accept "Apparation"? Especially since "Apparition", in real life, means a ghost, so I was thinking that couldn't be the correct spelling, and the verb form of the word is "Apparate."
The Horcruxes are out of order, whether it's in order of when they were found or when they were destroyed, the cup should be after the locket because they destroyed the locket in the forest and then went into Gringotts to find the cup in Bellatrix's vault, and the cup wasn't destroyed until later, while Harry was getting the diadem from Helena Ravenclaw and Ron took it down to the Chamber of Secrets with Hermione, where she destroyed it with the basalisk fang.
Because Weasley isn't accepted for Ron, but is accepted for Ron Weasley. I guess someone typed in Weasley and didn't bother to go to the weasley family until they ran out of time?
A good quiz. Maybe you should also accept Order of Phoenix without the article. And Apparition is not a Hogwarts Class, it's taught by the Ministry of Magic.
Technically if you include the Cursed Child, the Headmaster/mistress list makes a lot of sense whether you consider Umbridge a headmistress or not. (Even though canonically, she was headmistress.)
It kind of bothers me that "Apparition" is the only accepted answer for the class, considering "Magical Creatures", etc is allowed for "Care of Magical Creatures". Please accept "Apparating", "Apparation", etc.
Or has it simply been too long since I've read the books?
Surely McGonagall and Umbridge would be headmistresses. Also I don't think apparition is really a class - it is extra-curricular and you have to pay to do it.
finished with 28 seconds to spare. very slow typer! took me about 5 seconds to think of the answers to all of them, but took extra 20 hours to type. Thank you typing lessons.
And yes, I did the exact same thing

Why don't you try out my quiz
Just type in harry potter basics
Arithromancy
Arithromency
Arithomancy
...
Care of Magical Animals
Magical Care
Magical Animals
I obviously knew what these courses were.
Or has it simply been too long since I've read the books?
Great quiz though!!
