Why such distorted shapes for Canada and Russia? You don't have to use projections designed to show the whole world when you're just showing one country.

"Designed to show the whole world", no it's designed to show 99% of the world, the area around the poles would be near infinite. By the way, we already had better projections in the 20th century (Robinson, Sinusoid etc). Why not use those?

Jetpunk doesn't use the Mercator Projection. If you look at the Countries of the World Quiz and then Google "Mercator Projection" you will see the difference.
