100% I only got the teflon president by going back through the presidents. Knew I wouldn't have to go back much further than the space age! For the clue "Che" even though the obvious would have worked I made sure I put his real first name. Conversely I know Blackbeard's slightly odd surname but probably wouldn't have remembered his first name if it was required.
According to the Smithsonian Magazine, he went by the name Edward Thatch and it was falsely reported by a newspaper as "Teach". It even says so on Wikipedia, so "Thatch" should be accepted as an answer.
Who still calls Jane Fonda "Hanoi" Jane? Google returns 56M search results for "Jane Fonda" but only 140K for "Hanoi Jane" --- that's a 4000:1 ratio. She definitely earned it at the time, but she has also expressed regret numerous times since it happened 50 years ago. Maybe I'm wrong, but it strikes me as a bit mean spirited to include it here.
Hate to be picky but Blackbeard is not really from U.S. History. He was dead more than 50 years before the U.S. existed. He was British and largely lived in the Bahamas, although he certainly attacked the colonies that became the U.S.
