How is it a territory?? It's recognized by 80% of UN members. Plus, a territory is considered a land region controlled by a different country, which doesn't make sense in the case of Palestine.
Palestine is now recognized as a nation by 81% of the world, including the UK, Canada, Australia, and France. Jetpunk should represent the international community by following suit, but is unashamedly showing their bias by not doing so.
Frankly, it's a little embarrassing that Palestine hasn't been included while Kosovo and Taiwan have. Either the list should be excluded to only include full UN members, or the list should be expanded to include Palestine - a country recognized by over 80% of all UN members. As it stands now, Palestine's exclusion screams of the website moderators' personal bias rather than a genuine attempt to depict the world as is.
This site has already stated why Palestine is not included but Kosovo and Taiwan is. Palestine does not completly control their borders while Taiwan and Kosovo, for the most part, do.
That is a poor argument considering other breakaway regions such as Transnistria in Moldova effectively control their own borders. Palestine is recognised as a sovereign state by 157 UN member states including 4 permanent security council members (UK, France, China and Russia) while Taiwan is only recognised by 11 UN member states and the Holy See.
Transnistria operates as a "State within a state" and is only helped by Russia and I don't know if you have stuck your head in the news recently but nobody likes nor cares what Russia thinks.
Taiwan is liked by a lot of countries but cant get recognition because no one wants to start a war or worsen relations with China.
Also this quiz website is based in the US which if you don't know, doesn't recognize nor have good relations with Palestine
As you mention, this quiz is in US, and US didn't recognized ROC(Taiwan) as a nation, what ever the reason is not wanted to start war with China or not, ROC is just not a nation recognized by 99% of UN members. "Taiwan is liked by a lot of countries but can't get recognition because no one wants to start a war or worsen relations with China." is true but it's not a reason to list Taiwan in a quiz without other sovereign states like Palestine, especially knowing the fact that way more UN members recognize Palestine but not Taiwan.
According to your opinion, why not consider Transnistria due to "no one cares nor cares what Russia thinks", but Taiwan "because no one wants to start a war or worsen relations with China"? Can I say "Palestine is liked and recognized by a lot of countries but can't be a UN member because no one wants to start a war or worsen relations with the US"?
I dont know why my earlier comments cannot no longer be found but back again
30 Dec 2025 (exam season! rippp): back to 192/196 (missing cameroon, equatorial guinea, gabon and seychelles - interestingly enough 3 out of 4 are neighbouring)
7:58, been doing this quiz on and off for a few years now. My goal is to be able to complete it without looking at the alphabetized list as a "hint." I want to be able to point to any country on a map and instantly recognize it.
PB 2:45 - real hard to shave time now that im this load, gonna start implementing more shortcuts from user @countryguessr111 - hopefully sub 2:30 coming soon ?
omg this happens to me so often, my highest score is around 115 as well. Although i've named almost every country, i have a difficult time remembering them, especially countries in Europe for some reason 😅
Not exactly. The gray area in the map is actually the Trans-Karakoram Tract, the border between China, Pakistan and India determined through the 1963 Sino-Pakistan Agreement, controlled by China, but disagreed by India. It's located in the Kashmir region, beside the Siachen Glacier where India and Pakistan have conflicts.
I have a problem, because i did this type of quiz in 6.05, but in my language. And now if i want a badge i will have to learn countries in English, which will be difficult. But i really want to do this, i dont care about time, i just want this badge
time 3:33 (new best!)
6:04, broke my previous best by a full minute.
idk how yall are getting sub 4 minutes
Vatican kosovo and taiwan icluded too
Then why wouldnt palestine
Also there is a grey place that is palestine so they should just change it to yellow then we change it to green
Taiwan is liked by a lot of countries but cant get recognition because no one wants to start a war or worsen relations with China.

I got 103 and my highest score is only 115. I know all the countries of the world but I only remember them at certain times, lol
thank you that I discovered FSM and KSA
Finally studying books in school helped with something (Shahana)It works
It would be lovely to have one that includes the full 249-country list from ISO 3166.
I don't understand who I'm supposed to be beating and am finding it distracting while I'm trying to type.

Maybe they should consider upping it to level 30 or something.
(cause when I use it, I always get better scores in time)
