Salsette definitely sounds very non-Indian. No one uses it, not even the people living there.
What was the original island of Salsette now is the Mumbai Suburban District plus the cities of Thane and Mira Bhayandar. Apart from it, there were many other islands, which were merged by the East India Company and later British India by the end of nineteenth century into the Salsette. I made a quiz about them, you can try it here.
I thought the same thing - it stands out for that. That said, I've been to three of them and couldn't remember any of their names. One could choose Isabela (easily the largest) or Santa Cruz (easily the largest population).
Aruba has been a Dutch colony once, but it's a country in its own right these days. You might consider using Bonaire, which IS still part of the Netherlands.
The Caribbean Sea begins north of Cuba, encompasses the islands to the east as far as (some say, through I disagree) Barbados and ends at Venezuela. It is a stretch to try to put Mexico in the Caribbean, don't you think?
cause it's in every danm quiz! greenland doesnt count, why doesnt it count? because it is part of denmark. But it is a country itself. No it isnt, yes it is, no it isnt! etc..
really it feels like it is in 95% of all the quizes that contain countries, not allways in the comments but allmost allways in the caveat. (So it stands even more out than in which continent crete or russia is, or if australia is a continentor an island. Even thought those discussions are more agressive,,,, ow wait I forgot if england is a country or not and what macedonia should be called. I'm sure I missed more..)
Zanzibar could be a good addition (also Tanzania, as most of you will undoubtedly know), as it is reasonably well known (or at least heard of) by people who are not regular quizzers so not majorly obscure. Then Africa would be represented in this quiz...
Isla Margarita could have been Spain or any Spanish speaking country, and I am unlucky for that. But Salsette? Sounds like some place in France or Switzerland!
