Once again, this quiz is based on original research. It was not easy to make, and there may be errors. Please let me know what you think!

"brown" and "polar" were not accepted for ursidae

I don't think they need to be. You can say "panda", but you don't say "polar".

Sloth wasn't accepted, either.

Where's the Sloth Bear? - haven't checked but I would have thought it would make this list.

If sun bears are on the list (the smallest species of bear), sloth bears definitely should be.

What? No, both are members of the same family, Bovidae, which includes all cloven-hoofed ruminants.

Bovidae isn't the only family of cloven-hoofed ruminants. There are some others including Cervidae.

The Bovidae (commonly called "hollow-horned" in my country) includes goats and sheep, true antelopes, impalas, bubals, waterbucks, reezing antelopes, duikers and bovines (which includes bulls and antelopes like saola, nilgai, nyala or bongo).

"Bovis" means bull from Latin, therefore, it would be more correct (but still incorrect) to call antelopes cattle

+1 for sloth bear. Also missing musk ox.

Added sloth bear. Muskoxen are not native to Asia according to the map on the Wikipedia article.

Well, they were, but the recent populations originate from a repopulation project on the Taymyr peninsula.

Musk oxen used to live in the wild in Eurasia, but have become extinct. Now they are being reintroduced again, but in fact they are being returned to their native places. I think they should be included, they are a native species for the Asian fauna

The muskox may not be native to Asia, but the Takin certainly is and is of similar size. It was once thought to be related to the muskox, but more recent research has destroyed that theory.

What about the serow tribe and takins? Are they not distinct enough to warrant their own mention? Seems like we get quite specific with Bos. Yet forget an entire tribe and genus that aren't closely related to anything else on the list.

Really nice quiz! I dont get why it only got 3stars (maybe they scored low? I only got 22 right but that gave me 4 stars, so I guess people didnt do that well on this quiz)

Perhaps add cassowari as a type-in? Plus maybe it is an idea to drop the "bear" anybody that is typing polar is gonna know the answer, so it is just about extra time. And it is not like the black or brown are (part of) any of the other answers, so no accidental right answers.

It is fine the way it is, but I too nearly gave up on bears, after black didnt work. We are so used to minimal answers being accepted :)

I think it's at least worth a caveat for animals such as Muskoxen which were native and reintroduced.
