When one of the hints was 'Do I still have to sleep in the cupboard?' I was thinking that it was Harry Potter...even though I'm pretty sure that that's not the last line in it.
The book's very good. There is also a documentary about the making of the film called Heart of Darkness which is just as good as the film. The scene where Martin Sheen punches a mirror as he suffers a mental breakdown, he really did punch the mirror and suffer a mental breakdown. Francis Ford Coppola was in such despair at trying to finish the film that at one stage he actually plays Russian roulette with a live round and pulls the trigger. I saw a doco on Dennis Hopper and he arrived in Germany after the movie still totally in character with the cameras around his neck talking maniacally and gesticulating all the time. The people he was meeting there had him committed.
You know, one time I was on JetPunk, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I stood up. I didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' bad quiz. The smell, you know that trivia smell, the whole website. Smelled like... victory.
You should definitely watch "Alien"! It's much more straight-up horror than the action genre that all its sequels were, and it's loads of creepy fun. I mean, if you like horror, that is :-)
“The truth is, I am ____ ___” “Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you“ “You met me at a very strange time in my life.”Forget it, Jake. It’s _________”I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook.” “The, uh, stuff that dreams are made of. Huh?” “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are still truly good at heart” “Mein Führer! I can walk!” “You finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! God damn you! God damn you all to hell!” “Which would be worse, to live as a monster or to die as a good man?” “It was perfect.” “I used to hate the water… I can’t imagine why.”
[spoiler behind] the last 15 minutes were great, too. As close to a perfect comic book movie as anyone else has come. Possibly excepting Avengers Endgame, Watchmen, or a small handful of others.
Actually, Rocky 2 (1979) ended with "Yo, Adrian. I did it." "Yo, Adrian. We did it. We did." is the closing line from Rocky Balboa (2006). Either way, it's not a nitpick. It's not the closing line from Rocky (1976).
I suppose "Babe" might feature in many films.:) Unless you mean the part quote from Casablanca: "Round up the usual suspects"? I read that line actually inspired the title of the 1995 film.
You can find the one about the devil first in a poem by Baudelaire, « Le joueur généreux » : "My dear brethren, do not ever forget, when you hear the progress of lights praised, that the loveliest trick of the Devil is to persuade you that he does not exist!"
(in French: « Mes chers frères, n’oubliez jamais, quand vous entendrez vanter le progrès des lumières, que la plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu’il n’existe pas ! »)
-Mrs. Potts
"Madness, "Madness"
Mr Demille, "I'm ready for my close up"
"This was the story of Howard Beale: the first known instance of a man who was killed because he had lousy ratings."
"I'll be right here."
"Oh. No, it's not like that at all. He's my brother."
And was somehowe very pleased about recognizing the Apocalypse Now quote.
