We hired an expensive Madison Avenue advertising firm to come up with slogans to promote these different animals. Based on the slogan, guess the animal!
Tuna of the land? As in it's eaten a lot? Honestly couldn't think of anything for that! I got to "falco" when the time ran out, don't know if it would've been accepted anyway... Very much enjoyed the quiz though!
Or the red-footed booby! (The coloration of their feet is sometimes pink). FYI, I tried blue-footed booby about 5 times and got flamingo on the last second.
Pachyderms I believe are thick-skinned, rhino, elephant and think hippo too. Proboscis is ehm an appendage-like mouthpiece also called that in flies. (I think I learned that word in the show face-off which was a special effects make-up competition. They made a creepy fly human hybrid)
Pachyderm is also described as: A non-ruminant hoofed quadruped; any member of the old order Pachydermata. (but basically elephant/rhino/hippo)
And ruminant = basically regurgitate and rechew cud. "Hoofed herbivorous grazing or browsing mammals that are able to acquire nutrients from plant-based food by fermenting it in a specialized stomach prior to digestion.."
I giggled when I read "I can't believe it's not a chimpanzee" and actually laughed out loud when "human" was accepted. Very cool quiz! It put me in a better mood. :)
Not gonna lie, I totally put "ogre" at first, before my brain kicked in and informed me that it had it on good authority that ogres are not, in fact, real animals.
Good quiz, but I protest about the acceptance of "human" for "bonobo." It makes sense, but they're two entirely different species. Things like that always bug me so much.
Is there any difference between Crocodile, Alligator, and swamp? I assumed a swamp would be freshwater and Alligator. There doesn't seem to be much authority on swamp/marsh/estuary/bog/etc differences.
and yea I tried cheetah too and thought huh but he is the fastest, what are they looking for then?? Wasn't thinking about flying stuff...
I also put raccoon for "other panda", since its slang title is a "Trash Panda", but I understand if you won't accept it.
Figured out "flamingo" eventually, but it was neither my first, nor my second, guess.
And ruminant = basically regurgitate and rechew cud. "Hoofed herbivorous grazing or browsing mammals that are able to acquire nutrients from plant-based food by fermenting it in a specialized stomach prior to digestion.."
